Introduction

Learning resources include texts, videos, software, and digital materials that help students meet the learning outcomes defined by provincial curricula. A high-quality learning resource aligns with the curriculum while considering social, cultural, and age-appropriate factors.

In today’s world of technological advancement, learning is no longer limited to textbooks. There is now a wide range of web-based materials, computer-based courses, structured online content, and audiovisual teaching tools that make education more engaging and effective.

Video tutorials in particular enhance learning and increase student engagement — motivating learners to explore creatively and achieve excellence. When students are genuinely interested in what they learn, they process and retain information more effectively. Moreover, digital videos enable remote learning, allowing teachers to reach students anywhere in the world.

Digital Resources
In the digital era, educational videos have become essential tools for learning — especially for explaining complex concepts and detailed problem-solving steps. Topics that once seemed difficult to grasp are now easier to understand through visual and interactive online learning.
Research shows that short educational videos improve understanding and memory retention. Their visual and auditory format appeals to different learning styles, making information easier to absorb and recall.
Research Evidence: The Power of Video Learning
Videos create a multi-sensory learning experience, combining sight and sound for better comprehension.
They are accessible anytime, anywhere, on devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Students can pause, rewind, or rewatch videos to review complex sections and reinforce learning.
Videos are particularly effective for step-by-step procedures, problem-solving, and STEM subjects.
They build digital literacy and communication skills, essential for 21st-century learners.
Engaging video lessons increase student motivation and retention.
Teachers can use videos to support flipped classrooms or blended learning models, enhancing both traditional and digital instruction.
Our Philosophy
At Pakistan Technical & Educational Council Islamabad (pteci), we recognize the lasting value of print materials and textbooks, while embracing the potential of digital tools.
We believe that videos and digital resources are designed to complement — not replace — traditional learning materials and live instruction. Together, these methods empower students and educators to reach new heights of academic and professional success.
